Jennifer Woollends, Chief Election Officer for School District No. 28 (Quesnel) has released the official results for the October 15, 2022 School Trustee Election. The final results, in order of highest votes received is:

Community Consultation Inspires New Strategic Plan and School District Logo

For immediate release October 12, 2022

SD28 Quesnel has a new Visual Identity. It includes a redesigned logo, new colours, fonts, and design features, as well as original illustrations by a local artist.

It’s part of the district’s communications plan to inform and engage with its partners in education, a process that emerged from an extensive strategic planning process throughout 2021 and 2022.

Voting Locations - School Trustee General Election

General Voting Day is on Saturday October 15 from 8 am to 8 pm. Advance voting dates and locations as well as general voting day locations vary between the City of Quesnel, Cariboo Regional District and District of Wells.

Chief Election Officer Jennifer Woollends is pleased to announce that an election by voting is necessary to elect seven (7) trustees at large to fill the offices of Board of Education of School District No. 28 (Quesnel) for a four-year term commencing November 2022

Vice-Principal Appointment – Voyageur Elementary School

The Quesnel School District is pleased to announce that Ms. Anne Mummery has been appointed to position of Vice-Principal of Voyageur Elementary School effective September 26, 2022.

Ms. Mummery has been employed at the Quesnel School as an Elementary Resource Teacher since September 2021 and was previously employed as a teacher in the Chilliwack School District since 2002.

Extension of Nomination Period

Issued on September 9, 2022 for immediate release

The nomination period to receive nominations for the offices of 7 (Seven) Schools Trustees to be elected at large has been extended to Monday September 12, 2022 at 4:00 pm

Interested persons can obtain nomination forms at School District No. 28 (Quesnel), 401 North Star Road during regular business hours.

Original nomination forms must be returned to Jennifer Woollends, Chief Election Officer by 4:00 pm on Monday September 12.

The Quesnel School District is pleased to announce that Ms. Doreen L’Hirondelle has been appointed as District Principal of Aboriginal Education effective September 14, 2022. She holds a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Calgary and a Master of Education Degree through the University of Portland, Oregon.
